A complex technical project : La Defense station

The La Défense underground station represents a major technical challenge. Firstly, because it will be located underneath the Quatre Temps shopping centre, which requires the reinforcement of the foundations of this massive building structure with the help of 1,120 micro-piles, 250T each. Secondly, the logistics on site are very restrictive with the access of the materials and extraction of the waste undertaken by the same shaft (the “Démi-Lune” shaft), 250m away from the station and with a diameter of 30m.
