Project

The CBX Tower is located in la Défense between the Europe Tower and the Eagle Star Buref Tower along the “circular boulevard” ; it cuts across the footbridge of the “reflets”, and was integrated in the project.

The owner is TST Tishman Speyer T, a member of the American Group Tishman Speyer Properties, one of the most important promoters in the world.

The CBX tower is characterized by a sharp edge pointing toward Paris, formed by the triple conjunction of a flat façade along the circular boulevard, a curved façade and a tilted roof.

The supporting structure of the tower is made of a high performance reinforced concrete composed of an offset core 14 m x 34 m and by 20 façade posts. The core is laid on a limestone layer located 20 m below the boulevard level and the façade posts are supported on large sized wells attaining the same substratum.

The dynamic and static behaviour of the tower was covered by detailed calculations using a finite elements model.
